About

I have been a practising artist since graduating with a BA (hons) and MA in textiles from Manchester Metropolitan University in the north of England. I spent several years living and working in Bermuda before locating to the Samford area of southeast Queensland in 2008.

My current practice is concerned with the landscape and my immediate environment. I have worked in most media through my career, including oil, acrylic, watercolour, gouache, printmaking, mixed media, textiles, papier mache, mosaic, clay, metal and encaustic. My work has been exhibited in group and solo shows in the USA, Canada, Bermuda, UK, Russia, Caribbean, Russia, Australia and Poland. My work can be found in private, public and corporate collections. I have freelanced as an illustrator, greetings card designer and tutor.

I have been teaching art in Australia since 2010. I opened The Art Train in 2014. The Art Train was originally in a rented, converted train carriage in Samford Village, northwest of Brisbane.
Since 2019 I have worked in my home studio in Cedar Creek, set on 10 rural acres. It is light, bright and airy with stunning mountain views. It is quiet and peaceful with usually only bird songs for background noise.
The space functions as my studio, gallery and classroom. I have weekly classes for adults during school term times on Thursday and Fridays for weekly drawing and painting. I run Guided Painting, Arty Parties, corporate events, well-being events and specialist workshops for adults in the studio or off-site by request.
All my original work is for sale and can be viewed by appointment or online. I work to commission.
Many of my Guided Painting classes are available digitally as downloadable classes.
