Amazing Acrylic Workshop 1: Mixing Paint , Understanding Colour and Getting the most from Acrylic

Acrylic is a misunderstood medium. I was resistant to it for many years. However, once I discovered how to use it correctly I came to understand how amazing it really is. It is the perfect paint for beginners, it is forgiving and also magical.
Colour has always played a huge role in my practice. I believe that learning how to mix colour is a vital part of good practice.
This workshop will teach you all about colour. It will demystify the process of mixing a huge range of colours from the smallest quantity of base colour. You will get clarity around all those complicated " colour" terms, like tint, hue, shade, value, analogous, chromaticity, monochromatic, and complementary,
You will never mix paint again and wonder why it's the wrong colour, how do I get that colour again? or end up with a pile of mud on your palette.
We will cover :
colour wheel ?\/ triangle with two sets of primary colours
mixing secondary and tertiary colours.
saturated and desaturated colour
tints, shades and value
how to mix neutrals without using black
Details: All materials are provided. Tea and coffee will be served with homemade cakes. Please wear old clothes. I will provide aprons.
