Goodbye La Nina was developed from a series of paintings and drawings made from life in my garden.
My garden flourished after two years of La Nina rain. The plants and flowers burst with life. Now the weather event has subsided I wanted to make a large painting which celebrated the abundant proliferation of plants which I never expected to grow in Queensland. I'm still surprised hydrangeas and begonias survive in our hot and damp climate.
